BioI am a girl who got caught in the fray of ED.
I was dating a guy too focused on appearances and simple things. It wasn't his fault of course, I shouldn't have been with him. Also, my mom has issues with food, though hers (now, anyway) seem mostly to be compulsive eating. So, one day I ate too much ice cream and felt full and unattractive, and I just did it. God, it seemed so innocent and simple then.
That was five years ago. I am married now, to a man who gives me full and loving support. He knows everything that is going on, because it helps me to share it with him. He's never made me feel guilty or ashamed. He's only made me feel strong and capable. I am a lucky girl.
Even though my situation is hopeful, the road is still long and difficult. I am through the darkest part of my sickness, and have created this journal to keep myself focused and balanced. It's nice to be able to communicate with people who can sympathize.
